Ellington grew up in New York most of his life and moved to Texas his Freshman year, which led him to having a fresh start to his high school life, such as making new friends and having to learn the “TEXAS WAY.” His role in journalism is the PRESIDENT of the Gentlemen’s bugle. After graduation Ellington wishes to get the community scholarship and major in journalism at Texas Christian University, and wishes to go under the news producer.
As an upperclassman Ellington’s favorite thing to do was go home and be on student council. Ellington’s favorite thing from being underclassmen was how many free days they got, his favorite thing to do for journalism was writing stories and the photography side of journalism, and he believes that the team this year is bigger than last year by a huge number of scholars. His favorite activity is drawing, knowing that Ellington is a very talented artist, he is very good at realistic drawing. Ellington’s favorite dream team member’s are Ms. Saba and Ms. Smith.
Some advice Ellington would give to the upcoming freshman is “TO LOCK IN, GPA MATTERS.” He regrets slacking his freshman year and will always be upset about his 3.95. An opportunity that the Young Men’s Leadership Academy offered Ellington would be the trip to Europe. Ellington likes to play video games, and sing. An idea that Ellington would like give to all students is to be nice to your teacher so they can be kinder to you about your grade. He wants to get a minor degree in art, and calls an artwork of his “LENNY.” He plans to use the same blueprint as in high school for after college in just “Go with the flow” until he’s happy about his job.
Ellington does not like to play basketball even though he has the height for the sport , but he says if you like what the school offers you, for instance engineering or business branch then you should stay. Even though Ellington doesn’t stay in touch with most of the students he came across, he wishes that he did stay in touch with most of them.
This is one of Ellington’s artwork. (Thanks to Ellington for letting me post his artwork.)
I give credit to Joel Umana for taking Ellington’s picture.
